Hi GG thanks for visiting my space. Even after our time was up I finally turned on the TV and after a few hours got really tired of hearing it go on and on. So the hiatus from all the techno stuff really did shake things at our house. we\’re very conscious of how long we\’re on the internet and watching tv now. So it helped us a lot! Sadly I missed the cup blog.. shoot,!

    Kassey’s Chocolate Blog

Friday, 24th, my subject had a Doctor’s appointment in her hometown. So off she and her sister went and I was all alone again. I heard her call our neighbor and asked her if she would please watch for UPS, because she was expecting a package that could not be left out in the heat. It was a hot day and it would have ruined her chocolates if left out all day. She received 2lbs. of this chocolate and she keeps it in the refrigerator, it’s so creamy and soft if left out. It hurts my feelings to see her hide it like this, because I’d like a lick just to see if it’s sooo creamy and good. But she tells me that cats can’t have chocolate and I’m sure this must be true because she shares her butter pecan ice cream. I know she would share with me if I was allowed to have it.

She bought me a bag of treats last night when they went to Walmart . They left me alone again after being gone most of the day. And to stay in my good graces, her sister usually gives me treats when she comes over. Occasionally, she forgets or I’ve already had a treat and this hurts my feelings. I depend on her to do this because this is a part of her training. Oh, Sometimes, it’s so hard to train humans. I’ve been with these two now about  a year and a half . Well, they are learning and they know right away when I’m unhappy with them. When they start rubbing me, I give them a warning bite not to hurt or break the skin. I’d never hurt them, but they need to know that things aren’t going my way. I love these old birds, I mean ‘old ladies’…did I say birds?  Well I’m getting off the subject here. I really talk when I see birds outside and she told me she would put a bird feeder outside the window……I can hardly wait…..Gracious!! I need a nap and I’ll talk later….Love and Blessings, Kassey

Kassey, sounds like you have it made!! Enjoy the birds…I mean the ones that will be outside the window of course!

    • Grandma's 12:22 am on April 26, 2009 Permalink | Reply

Wonderful post Kassey. You are doing an awesome job of training your humans. They are wise not to let you have chocolate…..even though it does taste so yummy….sometimes humans can be pretty smart. Our humans put out a bird feeding platform for us to watch. They got tired of pulling out ladders and re-filling the feeders (not as young as they used to be). Midnight and me (Simba) love to watch the birds, squirrels…and yes sometime raccoons vie for position on the feeder. Our humans even put raw eggs on the platform sometimes…for the raccoons. It is amazing to watch how they break a small hole in the top of the egg and suck out the insides. They leave the eggshell pretty much intact. Our male human does complain to the female human about how much money she spends on food for us, the pet birds (which we are not allowed to go near), the bunny, and the dog (who is intimidated by us two felines). But of course our female human knows how to get the male human to stop complaining. She starts producing a little tear….and pouts and the male human suddenly feels bad and hugs her. I think female humans are the wiser of the species.Have a nice relaxing nap.A big Meow from your friends in Canada…Midnight and Simba.

I made it into church bloopers when preparing our church bulletin. The pastors written notes concerning the new pastoral team was "We wish them all well." I typed "We wish their ass well." I remained unaware of my typing error all weekend until the pastor confronted me with the bulletin on Monday. It was the very first bulletin I had prepaered. Ohhhhhhhh The new kid here made her entrance to the staff with a bang.

    Kassey’s Blog About Her Subject

Well, this is a fine mess that SHE made, yall know who I’m talking about. She said there was a tornado coming and she needed to clean out the closet for us.  She put me in my carrier, but I kept clawing to get out. Good grief !!  It was hot enough in that closet without being in that thing. Being the good subject that she is, she let me out. As you can see in the pictures, I was not a happy cat.  She was happy, coz she was on-line with someone she talks to ALL the time, which is another blog in itself. She spends more time talking to this human than she does me.  I guess the worst part was over for us, coz she let me out ….finally.  It was my naptime anyhow.
Oh!! She finished deflating that queen sized air mattress and inflated the twin size.  It’s a good one coz she doesn’t wake up in a hole in the middle, which sure looked funny to me. Humans are a wierd species anyways. But, I still won’t sleep with her.  I prefer my lofty bed  which is quite a bit higher and I can see out the window. You see , she leaves the blinds just high enough for me so I can sit in the window sill.  Nobody can see in  with no lights on inside and we’ve got enough  outside light  shining on the window.
This human she talks to online , sent her some flowers in a vase for Easter. Well everyone knows that cats love flowers too, who wouldn’t?  They are beautiful, especially the Roses.  I just want to smell of them, but she’a always telling me ," No Kassey,  Leave my flowers alone ! "   She had to take her Honda to get the shiny coat put on again. Do you think she left them setting out so I could enjoy them and do my cat thing??  Nooo, she put them in the Her bathroom and closed the door.  A kitty’s life is good around here though coz my subject loves me and I love her too. I’ve tried to be more affectionate since she has made two long trips lately with my Aunt Jeanne to her son’s house.
I have to go to my room now and take another nap.  Blessings….KasseyCat faceRed rose

Hi Kassey…Simba and Midnight here. Our Subjects are mighty strange too. They sleep in something called a waterbed. No…they are not fish…so why on earth they want to sleep on water is beyond us. They won\’t let us up on the bed because apparently we poke holes in the mattress. All we can say is…get a REAL bed for crying out loud!!They also take all the pretty flowers and hide them from us …but leave the prickly cactus out. I\’m pretty smart, but Simba has on occasion gotten tangled up in that thing and knocked it over. Don\’t know why are subjects leave that stupid plant out and hide the nice ones from us.But, we do love our subjects…just like you love yours. They love us unconditionally…keep us warm, safe, and well fed (too well…in Simba\’s case —-that\’s my opinion…..don\’t tell Simba, though).Well, I better go….I can hear footsteps heading towards the computer room and besides my little paws are getting mighty sore.Have a wonderful nap Kassey…talk to you again soon.

Shalom, Kassey!Possum and Pixie here. We think maybe you need to train your human better, although, all in all, she seems a pretty decent sort. She obviously loves you very much. Our human simply dotes on us – although she gets rather quirky when Possum sits on top of the funny box that\’s perched on top of the TV – our human calls it a digital converter and she claims that if Possum\’s fur gets inside, it will cause the converter to go wrong. (I don\’t know why Possum likes to sit up there, personally I prefer the stool by the window but hey, each to his own…Pixie).It\’s nice to hear the feline point of view now and then, so we hope you\’ll come on line again yourself quite soon.Gotta go – she\’s coming back. Oh – and she\’s made salmon for lunch (hers – but we can overcome that obstacle easily enough…)
