    Unhappy Kassey

Maybe it’s the rain, I don’t know. I can see that some of my friends get to go out
side. I’m happy for them, but this makes me sad ’cause I only get to look out the window.
The other night I was so happy for a little while when I saw this black kitty just outside the window. I don’t
know if it was a girl or boy but I really enjoyed our visit. ‘She’ took a pic of me and tried to get a pic of my
new friend, but it didn’t work. I’m so hoping my new  friend comes back.
Today some of Andy’s family came by and stayed for a little while. Andy always plays                                                                                       with me, but he didn’t come. I came into the living-room, but didn’t stay so I went back
to my room. Maybe Andy will come next time and maybe the sun will come out tomorrow.
Until next time, KasseyRed roseCat face

Kassey, you might think on the other side of going out. There are dangers out there. cars…other kitties who might be jealous of your beauty and try to pick a fight with you..fleas, which would make your human mom and you very unhappy…being cold..wet, too hot. You are such a lucky and happy girl because your human loves you and makes you such a good home. 🙂

    PRAYER….. Vern Mc Lellan

The Lord hates the gifts of the wicked but                                The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears
delights in the prayers of his people.                                          the prayers of the rightous.

Notice on highschool bulletin board :  " In the event of  nuclear attack, all bans on prayer on this campus will be lifted."
Now there’s even a "dial a prayer" for atheists. You call a number and nobdy answers.
Many prayers go to heaven’s dead — letter office for want of suffient direction.
True prayer is a way of life, not just in case of an emergency.
Who goes to bed and does not pray, maketh two nights to every day.
If your day is hemmed in prayer, it is less likely to unravel.
A prayer in a simplist definition is really a wish turned Godward.
There will always be prayer in public schools—– as long as there are final exams to take. ~~ B Norman Frisch
Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the night.
He who cannot reach the mission field on his feet can reach it on his knees.
Every step in the progress of missions is directly traceable to prayer. It has been the preperation for triumph
and the secret for all success. ~~ A.T Pierson
When praying, don’t give God instructions. God listens to prayer, not advice.
Courage is fear that has said its prayers.
Prayer is the stop that keeps you going.
If your knees are knocking, kneel on them.
Many a man kept going straight because his mother bent her knees in prayer.
The one concern of the devil is to keep the Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies,                                            prayerless works, and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at wisdom, but trembles when we pray. ~~ Samuel Chadwick

    GG……Very Blessed….Bossy Cat

I’m happy to have seen my TN Grands over the weekend. I have pics, of course. I  don’t
have this often enough, but I’ll settle for the time I do have with them. They are really
energetic, ages 7, 8, 9 yrs. old. Wow, I had mine close, but not this close. And they are
all male. Of course for them, it’s good to be close in age. I do wish that my TN son and
his family lived here close…. maybe  one day. (Birth order, boy, girl, boy)
One day, not too long ago…seems like ages though, K-8yr. old Grand-daughter, 7 yrs. then, came in
the kitchen and  looked me in the eye and told me when she got be grown that she might
come live with me ‘if you’re still living’ . This would be wonderful . Even though I’d be an
old lady ( hey, I’m old now…lol ) by then, but,it sure would be nice. If not, I hope to be in Paradise.
They stayed in a Motel for the swimming pool. I got pics of them when I took them some waffles.
They love my waffles as Kassey mentioned some time back.  Kassey stayed on her pillow while
    they were here.
Kassey sure has been whiny this AM. But I reckon I satisfied her every whim. I have to go through
the apt. looking. She had left me an upchuck…yall know why from my blogs. Also, I had something
on her thingy so she couldn’t get in the window. So now , she is resting in front of the window while
I blog. She is my relentless boss, but a joy to this old GG……Blessed Monday Everyone, GGRed rose

Proverbs 13 :19   It is pleasant to see plans develop. That is why fools refuse to give them up

It’s so very nice this AM after stormy weather last night. It’s 75 F at the present and cloudy.
The bad weather was all around us and we only got a little rain. I’m so glad ‘J ‘ (Sis) and I moved
from our hometown, because it seems that their weather is the wildest and so scary.
WE have been kept safe so far , truly Blessed . And the closet can be cleaned out quickly .
Because the desktop is near a window, I got on  Sony ‘Pinkie’ with Kassey by my side.
She is staying close today too. She may know more what to expect than the weather-
man..lol   Anyhow, we hope it’ll be calm today.
I made that good ole Southern dish , eggs and grits, for breakfast. I had 2 boiled
eggs and cut them in my hot buttered  grits. Instead of toast, I just put it all  on a
shingle. It was good, of course ,with coffee.
I’m not a typist and I haven’t a clue how this print changed. I ‘ll  probably blog again from
one of my fave books . They are so much more interesting than I. By nature, I’m not a big talker.

As far as I know, a shingle refers to a slice of loaf bread. It was probably white \’light\’ bread ( what Bob was referring to in the Navy)as we call it in the South. Now I usually just buy 100% whole wheat bread Thats what I layed on my plate and spooned out my grits and eggs on it and was very good.

Talking about KASSEY HERE : To My Fellow Feline Friends

Quote        It’s a beautiful Saturday, a good day to sleep in. She did have to get up , cause  I needed breakfast. As you all know I have to have her by my side when I eat, a rule I made. Oh, she’s so easy…mew mew. Well, I did sleep in our bedroom last night after she put the pillowcase on my pillow. And she  was so happy and told me I could sleep next to her if I wanted to…. no no no , not enough room for two on that twin bed. After I’m asleep, I don’t want any interuptions, like the Old girl turning over or getting up to go to the little room. I’m sure she’ll put another one up after the re-arranging is like she wants it.

I’m so blessed to have a bed inside to sleep on and have someone to care for me and love me the way she does. She is so good to me and I am so blessed that she picked me out of all the other kitties at the shelter. They told her my age and name and I got to keep it. Imagine having to be called by another name as old as I am. This is just another way that she loves me. It’s hard on a kitty being brought to a shelter to either die or hoping to be adopted. There were so many of us and she picked me!

Well, it’s getting cloudy now, but still a nice Saturday when you’re a blessed kitty. We are expecting Andy and Sheila in little while. He always plays with me. So, I’ll be in the window watching for them. Until next time, this is Kassey, hoping all my kitty friends are healthy and happy. Miss Catt, I hope you’re feeling better. And, Patches, I hope you’re recovering well. I want to thank you all for visiting our space and leaving comments. Luv, KasseyCat faceRed rose

KASSEY HERE : To My Fellow Feline Friends

My fellow feline friends, my human has been changing things again.  I watched her as she unloaded
her bathroom closet and filled up mine. She said she was utilizing more space, whatever that means.
Mine did have more room than hers, before now.  But being a cat, I don’t understand why she does this.
She’s always moving things around and this bothers me.  I followed after her while she was carrying these
things to my closet. She told me she knew I didn’t understand why she was doing. Now really, does she think I’m just a dumb little cat?  I could see what she was doing and I didn’t like it. There’s one shelf with nothing on it…..no telling what’ll be put there.
I’m seeing a lot of birds now and it’s really exciting. We still don’t have a bird feeder yet, but she said she just might sprinkle some seeds on the ground. She also told me there are rabbits here , but I’ve been napping, too much i guess.
It was real stormy last night and the storm radio went off again. It’s kind of scary to be asleep when this happens. She got up and turned it off and went back to bed. God spared  us once again. He sure is good to us and deserves all the credit.  Until next time, my feline friends…..Blessings Always, Cat face   Kassey

Hi, Possum and Pixie, it\’s ok to ask my age. I was 8 or 9, I forget now, so I\’m now about 11. Thanks for visiting. I always love hearing from my friends….

Hi Kassey, Miss Catt here. I am 11 too. My Mama found me as a baby in he parking lot of Winn Dixie. You and I are so fortunate to have human moms who love us and take care of us so well. We love them back just as much even if we do have to have things our way. We try to make it worth their while. =^..^=

Hi KasseySimba and Midnight here. I, Simba, was rescued from a gigantic tree in my human\’s from yard when I was about 2 months old. They never did find out who I really belonged to or where I came from…it\’s possible that I was from a litter borne by a stray cat. Anyway, I am 13 years old now. Midnight…well she is just 4 (she used to belong to my human\’s son) but his other cats were not very nice to her….so my human took her in. Midnight and I have a semi-cordial relationship. I was here first and I am old. I don\’t want to play…just sleep and eat so quite often Midnight bugs me and I have to put her in her place.I\’m not crazy about the idea of my human getting another kitty (one of the ones currently in the bedroom upstairs) but maybe it will be good for Midnight to have a playmate and she will stop trying to bug me. I have a hunch though that the new kitty (who my human has already named "Tigger" is going to want to snuggle up to me….because I look a lot like her litter mates whereas Midnight does not. *Sigh* My male human is my ally….he feels sorry for me. He didn\’t want the female human to take Midnight and he sure won\’t like the idea that she is planning to keep "Tigger". BUT my female human is a bleeding heart…so I guess the male human and I will just have to adapt. You take care Kassey.Cat Kisses from me….Simba. (Midnight just watches me type on the keyboard….she is not as smart as I am).

Kassey I feel so much love here. You are so lucky to live here. My name is Siriun and I live with Carrie. I have a hard time trusting but Carrie is trying very hard for me to trust her. Wildflower who I don\’t like is missing right now but Carrie hopes to have her back by this winter when she goes south and picks her up. I think I am the reason Wildflower runs away. Wildflower is old wise and beautiful.. Take care Kassy you are so blessed…. Hugs..from Carrie too…

    Serving Others……Leaves of Gold

The longer I live the more I am convinced that the one thing worth living for and dying for is the privilege
of making someone more happy and more useful. No man who ever does anything to lift his fellows ever makes a sacrifice.  ~~ Booker T. Washington

There is a loftier ambition than merely to stand high in the world. It is to stoop down and lift those around us a little higher. ~~ Henry Van Dyke

There is no happiness in having and getting, but only in giving. Half the world is on the wrong scent in the pursuit of happiness.  ~~ F. W. Gunsaulus

I slept, and I dreamed that life was all joy. I woke, and saw that life was but service. I served, and discovered that service was joy. ~~ Rabindranath Tagore

What do we live for, if not to make life less difficult to each other? ~~ George Eliot

No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of it for another. ~~ Charles Dickens

If you sit down at set of sun and count the acts that you have done,
And counting, find one self-denying deed, one word that eased the
             heart of him who heard—-
One glance most kind, that fell like sunshine where it went—–
Then you may count that day well spent. ~~ George Elliot

When people are serving , life is no longer meaningless. ~~ John W. Gardner

We ought to do good to others as simply and as naturally as a horse runs, or a bee
makes honey, or a vine bears grapes season after season without thinking of the
grapes it has borne. ~~ Markus Aurelius

Even if it’s a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something
for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it. ~~ Albert Schweitzer

             When we serve, we rule;
             When we give, we have;
When we surrender ourselves, we are victors. ~~ John Henry Newman

Have you ever had your day suddenly turn sunshiny because of a cheerful word? Have you ever
wondered if this could be the same world, because someone has been unexpectedly kind to you?
You can make today the same for somebody. It is only a question of a little imagination, a little
time and trouble. Think now, "What can I do today to make someone happy?"—- old persons, children,
servants —- even a bone for the dog, or sugar for the bird ! Why not? ~~ M. D. Babcock

Kassey has something to add to this blog….

Why not make your cat happy by remembering to put a pillowcase back on her pillow ?  Today, she
put a nice clean pillowcase on my contour pillow in our bedroom. So I hopped right up there. I
think she got the picture….. and now maybe I’ll make her happy and sleep in our room tonight.
             ~~ Kassey ~~ Cat face
