Just Couldn’t Get It Right At First

I should have added an album instead of copy/paste

from an email. These shouldn’t have been on the blog page.
Maybe that’s why only an ‘X’ was there.

Next time I add photos, I’ll use this HP laptop, which is
much easier. When I deleted those pictures your comments
were deleted as well. I appreciate your visits and comments.
And I always welcome advice on anything ‘computer’.

    Blessings Always,  GGB

No more C******, but they still want the bogus charge paid….when ‘****’ freezes over.

It’s a nice rainy day here and I’m trying to understand this new cell phone…a real hassle for an old
girl..lol I keep thinking I should send it back. It’s cheaply made too..can’t get good ‘stuff’ anymore.
I got a good deal, better than what I signed up for (2 yrs.) ugh. I told her that I thought I’d keep
the phone after all. She said,’We Southerners have to stick together’….TN girl, and she gave me
the promotional deal, taking $20 off my 2 yr. price. You can imagine how happy and surprised I was.
Of course, my first bill is a doozy..This is Tmobile, and they have never cheated me, so I trust them.
After I got the phone, they blocked text messages from it so I wouldn’t receive any..my request.
I did take a pic of my girl sleeping on her pillow on her couch, but I haven’t tried to
transfer it to the PC. I just know that’ll be loads of fun for this old girl. lol
    Blessings Always,GGB

switching it to your computer is easy. T-Mobile comes with a website for managaing your account. You have to sign in with your phone number and get a pass word, but then all you have to do is send your photos by phone to your on-line album….I have had T-Mobile for over 2 years now and haven\’t had anyproblem with them. The on-line account has saved me several times when I thought I had lost some precious pictures.Good Luck!

I am so glad we have no cell service here where I live so I don\’t have to deal with that extra bill and all that comes with it. But then I don\’t even have regular service here also. Just got my computer for connecting with people. That goodness for satilite internet. Just really need to up my type of service there so my speeds are faster then the phone service like skype or Jack something or other would work better. I always hear their voices well but my voice when it get uploaded that is a slower speed so I am broken up sometime to them… Anyway have fun with your new toy… Hugs Carrie

Divorce From Stinking Telephone/Cable….No Phone This Rainy Weekend

I can use my old cell phone for emergencies and I can go to my friend /neighbor’s.

On April 12, I had no dial tone. Naturally, I called and talked to a person, who
actually asked me ‘Are you calling from your home?’…LOL     Sound familiar?
He said it sounds like your modem is bad and I told him that I ‘will not pay for
a truck roll.’ I was without phone service about 24 hours. The phone guy said
a wire was bad which was in my storage room…not my fault, if this was true.
I believe they disabled my phoneline, thinking they’d get more money.
I got my bill a few days ago and they added a bogus charge from that trip. It was
for wire maintenance, which was already included in my plan. I called and talked
to billing. Of course, she tried to tell me that it was credited after showing the price.
I interrupted her, nicely and showed her my bill was $8.43 higher than last month.
I also told her I was not paying it and I want it removed.
I was paid up through April 28th when I called them to remove this charge. I then
called again and talked to someone else to see if the bogus charge was removed.
It was, so I explained to her that I thought they disabled my phone to get more
money and I’m disconnectimg my service. I said,’ Call it Divorce.’ I have to wonder
how many Seniors here are mistreated, because I see their truck here a lot. Call me
I’m now waiting for the USP guy to return . He left a note on the door. Well that’s
    another story…..lol .
    Blessings Aways,  GGB

Such frustrating things are neough to upset anyone my friend. I think you\’ve done the right thing standing up to this based on principle. Good for you!

I have to agree with you. Too many companies take advantage of seniors. NOT FAIR!!

    • Rambling 5:44 pm on May 1, 2010 Permalink | Reply

What an awful thing to have to go thru. And all of it not your fault besides. I hope things work out for you because you need some service. They have everyone by the hair on the backs of their heads because they are the only show in town!

These companies can\’t be trusted, they try and squeeze extra money out of us all the time. Our old phone company tried to get us to pay for exra charges on a collect call from my daughter visiting England. These phone calls were directed from other foreign countries (like India or something) by people who could barely speak english properly. We refuesed to pay for them, the charges were something like $400 or more and there was no way we spoke on the phone anywhere near that long. The nerve of them. It\’s just ridiculous. We changed companies too after that and other stuff they tried to pull on us.Glad you stood you stood up to them and refused to pay.

I had a $15 charge added to my phone bill. My phone company said it was a third party charge. It had occurred for 5 months!! Every time I called they told me they could not remove it that I would have to call the third party. The third party said I had signed up for it on-line!!! Why would I have added a $15 charge (for e-mail service supposedly!) when I am unemployed and on a fixed income! Now they say they will reimburse me for the last month only and block the service….We\’ll see when the next bill comes out!I wonder how many people just pay the bill and never question all these extra charges….

    • Patricia 2:16 am on May 10, 2010 Permalink | Reply

Oh, the trickery of these people…I had charges on my cell phone that I didn\’t understand…finally got it off, but still had to pay for one month…you have to be on your guard every minute!…
